Arise to Serve, a California 501c3 Non-Profit Corporation, focuses on two primary components - the arts and virtues.

 

The arts is a natural cultural developer. The arts, such as music, dance and crafts, taps into the imagination and creativity of our mind and soul. The virtues manifest as our guide for living a good life and the process of setting an example to others.

 

Who would think that simply by creating a paper rose, or strumming notes on an ukulele or just learning a simple dance could bring instant joy and happiness into a troubled life.  And who would think that these moments spent with a child could become the driving force in creating a life of remarkable achievement.

 

The arts are food to the soul and wings to the spirit, a celebration of what we contain within ourselves - infinite possibilities.

 

Arise to Serve uses The Virtues Project™, a global initiative, to inspire the practice of virtues in everyday life, to empower individuals to live more... meaningful lives, and to awaken the gifts of character that help us to remember who we really are and to live by our highest values. It has inspired and mobilized people worldwide to commit acts of service and generosity and to heal violence with virtues. The Virtues Project™ was honored by the United Nations during the International Year of the Family as a "model global program for families of all cultures".

 

Arise to Serve encourages its participants to build bonds of friendship, to laugh and play and connect to each other and in doing so, we learn to assume our responsibility to respect each other and to conduct ourselves as a benefit to the world and to the people we share it with.

 

Arise to Serve is a project for all ages. We believe that its effect will brighten the darkness, enlighten the minds, bring joy to the soul and through its individual participants, manifest an overall improvement in the human condition.
